Along with the other challenges faced by adolescents, puberty and growth create significant additional nutritional demands to meet the physical and emotional demands of their growing and changing bodies. The diet of the adolescent also has a great impact on their moods, behaviour and self-image.

- Puberty, growth and physical changes and specific dietary needs to support these
- Sleep changes and insomnia
- Increased nutritional needs during adolescence
