This Nutritionist qualification is geared towards those wishing to practice as a Nutritionist with a holistic approach, and is different from dietetics. Graduates may also work in the nutrition industry, become a teacher, key note speaker on nutritional therapeutics or work in the food & health care industry.

Advanced studies in nutrition equip the graduate with extensive knowledge in nutrition as medicine.

On qualifying as a Nutritionist you will be able to apply a holistic approach to health and healing in practice, providing clients with dietary advice, through preventative and therapeutic nutritional programs and the application of food as medicine.

The Advanced Diploma of Integrative Nutritional Therapeutics qualification incorporates studies in nutritional principles, micronutrients and food fundamentals which are supported with studies in medical sciences, evidence based practice and professional practice studies, these qualify & equip you to become a professional practising Nutritionist.

What are the requirements to practice?

Nature Care College Advanced Diploma of Integrative Nutritional Therapeutics will enable you to gain access to insurance and start practicing. Our Advanced Diploma course is a work ready qualification approved by the International Institute for Complementary Therapists (IICT), where graduates are eligible to register for their insurance.

If your purpose of study is to practice, then a Nature Care College Advance Diploma will enable you to practice and enter the industry as a confident practitioner and at an affordable price.

Do I need to outsource my clinical training?

The College campus has an established in-house Wellness Centre where students put their theory into practice during their final year of study treating members of the public under the supervision of experienced clinical practitioners. In our busy Wellness Centre, students treat patients with preventative health care solutions to improve well-being and patients with existing health conditions. Exposure to such depth of clinical experience and expertise provides students with the confidence to graduate as work ready practitioners.

Distance learning students who reside interstate or overseas will need to find a suitably qualified practitioner to supervise their clinical practice requirements. Please contact the college for further information and practitioner application form.

Description: A fundamental component of all major modalities, this subject will teach you an overview of the fundamental Anatomy of Body Structures. This course will focus on the anatomy of the external body structures including the skin and accessory structures, bones of the skeleton, joints and the skeletal muscles.

Description: This unit of study will describe the skills and knowledge required to work effectively in a healthcare setting with clients, staff, visitors, suppliers and others. You will acquire skills and knowledge to implement and monitor compliance with legal and ethical requirements, skills and knowledge required to arrange referrals to other health care professionals and to provide administration for a clinical health practice.

Description: Food as Medicine explores the healing potential of foods, beverages and dietary patterns using the best knowledge from both traditional and scientific sources.
